I'm not sold on either candidate. I still fear that we'll have a Republican president, unfortunately Liberal_Stalwart71 Feb 2016 #13

Many quite positive. Uniter is not one of them. I'm sorry, the Clinton political machine has been incredibly divisive for those of us on the Democratic side of the aisle.

but I do not hate Hillary Clinton. I'll take her over the clown car, but I prefer to vote for someone that I am choosing, rather than the best out of a bunch of bad choices.

In a month or so, it will become clear who the nominee will be. It behooves all Democrats to not get so ugly in the run up towards Super Tuesday that we are fractured beyond cooperation to back our nominee.

I get that there is awful rhetoric on both sides, but come on - let's not start throwing around that we hate people.

We might hate their policy, but I certainly wish no ill on any of the contenders in the Democratic races.

are scared shitless of Bernie Sanders, and none of them are particularly comfortable with the idea of a Trump presidency, either.

Their bread and butter consists of supporting both sides of the political establishment because they know where the bodies are buried and have the capital to control such politicians.

People they can't control has to be a nightmare for them.

Hillary side of the divide is the top economic 1%, the next economic 10% and the 40% who are tied in to the tied into the Establishment or semi moderate. Of the 40% the enthusiasm is somewhat weak offset by some cognitive dissonance. Most of these democrats are somewhat comfortable although I believe they want good things for the less advantaged and comfortable. They just do not feel the urgency or really want changes to the system that will merge the top 40% with the bottom 60%.

Bernie's divide is the rest of the democratic party who know its a rigged game and they are not the winners or semi winners of this system. The issue with Bernie's side of the divide is whether they will vote. America has been beset by low turnout because many have just given up on the system because the best they can get are politicians like Hillary who really do not want to change the system just tweak it. They have seen a lot of promises in the past although Bernie is a little different. He is honestly not part of the political establishment that runs left in the primaries and then governs from the right side.

There is no way that Hillary can unite the party. Bernie can not really either. However, the difference is that Hillary's side of the division is smaller and her policies will be status quo.
