Absentee military ballots - maybe there are fewer overseas/deployed this cycle

With all the hand wringing on the Right about the low number of ballots requested this year vs. 2008, has anyone looked at the number of folks actually out of country this year? With the reductions in Europe and Korea and the end of the the Iraq war, it would seem that close to 100k fewer folks will be eligible to vote absentee in this election.

Would seem like the President could brag that this represents his success at bringing the troops home where they can participate directly in the election process.
