Charlie Pierce : Why on earth is "Progressive" Hillary touting this endorsement?

Why on Earth Is 'Progressive' Hillary Clinton Touting This Endorsement?

The Café has been all a'twitter—in fact, so is Twitter—about the heat Bernie Sanders has taken for a jacket blurb he contributed to a book critical of the president's performance in office. In truth, this is rather inconvenient to a Democratic presidential campaign. However, the older members of the staff are more than aware that there are bigger problems regarding endorsements in which a Democratic politician can become entangled.

I mean, Jesus H. Christ in a Chilean dungeon.

"I was very flattered when Henry Kissinger said I ran the State Department better than anybody had run it in a long time."

Dear Ms. HRC: There is being tone-deaf, and then there is not being able to tell the difference between the New York Philharmonic and an abbatoir. What putative progressive—hell, what putative human being—would brag on being endorsed by the most pus-blooded vampire in American public life? Here with an opposing opinion are 40,000 dead Chileans, 100,000 dead East Timorese, and countless dead Laotians, Vietnamese and dead Cambodians.

And she's the one with the foreign policy chops.

Good god.

There were a couple other spots mentioned that he could have really nailed her, but I can't remember what they were right now.

Especially after she had the nerve to ramble on on her Rovian manner about his (!) attacks on her. And the way she worded it was so duplicitous. He needs to take off the kid gloves for a few good jabs.

And no, Hillary supporters, I am NOT suggesting he hit a woman. How sad that I really feel I have to say that on here.

for quite a while around here. He's one of the genuine butchers of the 20th century yet she calls him a friend and a defender of human rights. x1000.

I double-dog DARE the fanclub to rebut Pierce.

Dick Cheney is #1. Kissinger is second, no doubt, but Dicks insistence of going into Iraq was the cause of so much suffering it's impossible to get your head around it. And it continues to this day.

and specifically understand that without Kissinger and Nixon's treason before the '68 election, the paris accords could have ended it then.
