Hillary Clinton Losing Her National Lead Over Bernie Sanders, Poll Shows
Hillary Clintons strong national lead over Sanders is essentially gone and, instead, the Democratic race is incredibly close, according to a national Quinnipiac poll released today.
Clinton received 44 percent of support while Sanders can boast about 42 percent, his highest support in any national poll to date.
The former secretary of state's 31 point lead over the Vermont senator in December has been fallen to only 2 points.
This new poll was conducted after the Iowa caucuses, when the polls were too close to call Monday night but, finally, Clinton eked out a win over Sanders.
The last Quinnipiac poll released Dec. 21 showed Clinton with a whopping 31 point lead over Sanders, 61 to 30.

(24,731 posts)I hope she has a good therapist!
This is the feeling we get about her, I think - she wants it SO much. What wouldn't she do? I, for one, need to feel she can be philosophical about a loss, while still competing agressively for it. Authenticity and maturity.

(6,145 posts)The fact is those kinds of attacks are happening right now at the hands of Hillary's surrogates and media supporters. See David Brock, Chris Matthews and Claire McCaskill.
Every day they attack him as a communist sympathizer or an extreme leftist his poll numbers seem to grow while they invalidate their own "electability" argument.

(396 posts)but we need to see if this trend in the national polling continues. The PPP poll came out yesterday I believe showing her with a 21 point lead or something. So while I love to see this, it is looking like something of an outlier.
