Fun climate fact: Polar tundra climate spotted in New Hampshire

Last edited Sat Aug 6, 2016, 06:47 PM - Edit history (1)

See the updated climate map:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Köppen_climate_classification#/media/File:World_Koppen_Classification_(with_authors).svg

(or use http://bit.ly/2aZDqq4 )

Zoom in on New Hampshire. You see a gray dot (ET or polar tundra) surrounded by dark green (subarctic). I'm pretty sure it's Mount Washington, surrounded by other mountainous areas.

This is all according to the https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Köppen_climate_classification

(or use http://bit.ly/2b3xsUk )

I'm quite confident those climate zones are in the higher elevations of the mountains.
