Bible verses presented as if from the Quran

So the Dutch pranksters at Dit Is Normaal ran an experiment. They bought a Bible, but changed the cover to say it’s the Qur’an. Then they asked people to read passages and give their thoughts.

It went exactly as you’d expect:

While I certainly was aware there were plenty of non-canonical 'gospels' out there, I'm not really a 'Bible scholar', and had never come across the Gospel of Thomas. The article talks about the power struggle for control over the masses via propaganda and the choice of what Gospels were 'official'. Much of what is corrupt about our entire culture dates back 1600 years, to when those who were compiling the 'official' Bible chose texts that specifically backed up the notion of hierarchical control of the people.
