Today we are witnesses to the phrase: no one can serve two masters.

Matthew 6:24

"No one can serve two masters. Either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and Money.

One could argue that most politicans say they serve one thing (the people or God) and actually serve money instead.

Yet the POTUS must take an oath of office. So who does he serve? In the sermon on the mount, Jesus advises against taking oaths. Check out Matthew 5: 33-37. In the last verse, he advises that instead:

"let your ‘Yes’ be ‘Yes,’ and your ‘No,’ ‘No.’ For whatever is more than these is from the evil one."

I would hope that Rick Santorum reconsider his run for president. I would argue that he could not possibly fulfill his duties as president.

to do with women and sex. He is not committed to the teaching of God when it comes to helping the poor, cutting his loaf in half and sharing it or anything like that. He is actually a very heartless man.

I just have to believe that there is no way he could be elected.

I just have to believe that.
