Bumgarner takes ownership of World Series
SAN FRANCISCO -- When Madison Bumgarner strode onto the field with three outs to go, he went out alone.
First among Giants. Right then, the only one who mattered.
Behind him, Bumgarner's teammates stopped, held back in the dugout for a few seconds before taking the field and gave their ace the stage by himself.
This was Bumgarner's moment, his game, his stadium and -- at least in part -- his World Series.
