Size does matter when it comes to college basketballs.
The College of Charleston womens basketball team will have two victories reversed after the Colonial Athletic Association determined the team used improperly sized basketballs during conference home games at TD Arena, the league announced on Thursday.
The College of Charleston used men's basketballs in home victories against William & Mary (70-60) on Jan. 6 and UNC Wilmington (76-37) on Jan. 8.
The team unknowingly had been using the wrong basketballs at home games the entire season, according to athletic department sources. The college stopped using the men's basketballs prior to its home game against Elon on Jan. 13.
