QB gets tough reminder that football doesn't end when the clock runs out

Most sports end when the clock ticks down to zero. Football is not one of them. A high school quarterback seemed to forget this rule on Tuesday night, and it cost his team a spot in the state playoffs.
Spanish Fork (Utah) led 14-11 with 3.2 seconds to play when Jason Money took the snap. He dropped back, looked back at the clock, and watched the seconds tick away. As the clock ran out, he held the ball in one hand and turned his back to the play....
The Maple Mountain Golden Eagles kept playing, stripping the ball from the unexpecting QB's hand, recovering the fumble and sprinting 25 yards to the endzone for the touchdown and the win.
Money threw his hands up at first, as if to say "What the hell?" There's no video of the coach, but it's safe to assume he was thinking the same. By the time Money realized what was happening and chased down Maple Mountain's Brandon Beebe, Beebe was already in the endzone.
Wonder how he'll do on his Wonderlic if he gets that far?
