Even though that's Kentucky's court, that place was packed w/ Louisville fans combined w/ their full-court defense, I'm sure has lead to some dominating performances.

I imagine you're going to get a little of this, especially for #1 seeds. Michigan is interesting but they select these sites before the tournament begins.

Also Cal got to play in San Jose

They should move them to regions whee they would not have home court.

This is the second tournament in a row Colorado State has had to play a Kentucky team in Kentucky. Last year they played Murray St a short drive from their campus.

you should know that I am a pure basketball fan. home court in the NCAA's is bullshit. I also think the charging foul where the player slides across to get under someone who has taken two steps on their way to a lay up is ridiculous. Anyone who has ever played baskeball knows that it is impossible to stop. Now if you hit the guy who is guarding you fine that is a charging foul but when you take two steps and this guy slides over. That is a joke.

I went to SUNY Brockport and we were division 3. I am quite familiar with that.

Danny was the coach for the LA Lakers developmental team. He is now an assistant at Marquette. We once played against Grambling with Marvin Webster(Sonics) and we beat them. We used to play pickup with the varsity in the summers. This is the school Stan Van Gundy came from and he was about 2 years behind me. Randy Smith( NBA Allstar) came from our division( Buffalo). Very good basketball.

The bigger the arena and more fans (home or not) the better. But then we have this to contend with next week:

And the venues are chosen well in advance (years) ahead of the teams. And attendance is a valid consideration. It's to a team's advantage to be good. That's fair.

.... if you have a big fan base and they can follow "their team" w/out
having travel too far then more games get sold out and sold out quicker
which creates more demand for tickets and more demand for ad time on
TV because the games are sold out so people will follow their team on
the tube.
