Saturday coverage by NBC...

So, I've tried to be kind to NBC...I've been off work for the entire Olympics period
and have been glued to the TV machines (we can get 3 different channels at home) and
have seen a lot of LIVE events. The evening delay doesn't even bother me...I've watched until my eyes
are blood shot.

BUT...what the hell????

Women's Volleyball was played, sometime today, Saturday. NBC never covered it! What the "f"?

It was the Gold medal match...ya, Team USA took silver to Brazil but...!!!???!!!

That ticks me off and again, WTF?!

P.S....WAIT! I just typed the above, post...and then hear that now, at 11:30PM Pacific on the evening delay, they are starting
the broadcast of the women's volleyball match.

NOW? NOW? Seriously?

...I'm not so happy.

1. Saturday was the worst of the worst...first hour was of a war documentary...

Probably ok in its own right, but the last Saturday of the Olympics is the day the most medals are awarded, and they took away a whole hour from their already shitty, spotty coverage.

3. That really sucked. If I wanted to watch history, I would put on the History Channel.

Uh. Nevermind. I still don't know why "Ice Road Truckers" is on the History Channel.

2. NBC could have run the show until 11p

Instead they milked it until midnight. And then they run over - see Friday night. How do you run over a taped show?? It's tough for those of us at the affiliates. We get late runs for a taped show!!! ARGH!

6. They saved that match for Prime Time

I hate volleyball (or sometimes like) matches on Prime Time because they cut out a lot. Sometimes that doesn't bother me because watching a volleyball match can be like reading a book where you already know the ending.

Last night they cut out A LOT between USA winning the first set to reeling w/ Brazil 8 points away from winning the match.
