(10,136 posts)When I first joined DU, iverglas' posts in Guns were often worth reading. Unfortunately, that slowly degenerated.

(1,018 posts)when I first started reading DU 5-6 years ago she had something thoughtful (usually) to add to the discussion. When I joined late last year her posts seemed to have degenerated to the point that I quit reading them. I never responded to her as I didn't want to take the chance of being in her cross hairs. Sad to see a long time DUer PPR'd but I believe she's been intentionally working on it for quite some time.

(60,567 posts)LinkedIn has (or had) a new version of their "People you might know" feature. Several pages down I was surprised to see my old buddy MrBenchley.

(1,076 posts)She really had a talent for adding to a conversation as long as she kept her tongue in check. I see it as a loss.

(1,018 posts)I hate to see long time members PPR'd whether it be karma or her own intentions. I wasn't fond of her ramblings and many were disgusting attacks (not just in the Gungeon).

(17,502 posts)often polluted by irrational rants.
Once in awhile, she did have a valid point. However her irrational rants about "misogynist gun militants" will not. Which reminds me of a study I found that said most gun control advocates

(2,997 posts)I kinda feel like I do about Osama bin Laden: I don't think he should have been treated quite that way, but I'm not exactly losing sleep over the loss.
Hell, it was she who brought me in here in the first place.

(7,776 posts)Two peas in a pod.
Benchley was at least amusing and always good for a laugh or two... he was the kind of crazy you just can't make up.
I can't locate the post at the moment, but they had a get together/met-up in Canada some time ago.
The other one... was just a bitter spinster with a chip on her shoulder/ax to grind.
