Sandy Hook Shooter's Pause May Have Aided Students' Escape

Sandy Hook Shooter's Pause May Have Aided Students' Escape

December 23, 2012|By EDMUND H. MAHONY, DAVE ALTIMARI and JON LENDER, [email protected], The Hartford Courant

As many as a half-dozen first graders may have survived Adam Lanza's deadly shooting spree at Sandy Hook Elementary School because he stopped firing briefly, perhaps either to reload his rifle or because it jammed, according to law enforcement officials familiar with the events.

A source said that the Bushmaster rifle that Lanza used in the shootings is at the state police forensic laboratory undergoing several tests, including tests to determine whether it was jammed.

42. The Courant!

Buwhahahahaaa! I'll believe the "used only half the round in the mag stuff" when I see the official report. That "reporter for the Courant is just too full of shit to be considered credible.

44. "media ....has not had a great track record for accuracy"

Boy howdy, you can say that again!

Just be careful when reporters use language like "sources", "some say", etc. You know...... like FAUX News does.

Yup! But it seems they have now been shamed into using actual investigation reports rather than relying on "rumors"!

BTW - Different "journalists"....... I wonder what happened to the previous ones?

PS - sylvi, it's nice to see you hanging on my every word........ helps keep me sharp!

Among other things.... like the "AR-15 pulled from the trunk".

Oh, BTW - These Courant "journalists" are also full of it. The evidence of a "jam" would be shown on the markings of fallen ejected loaded cartridges and the magazine...... not the rifle!

......... that corrupt jails in New Orleans were proof that gun safety laws don't work.

But I understand how desperate things are getting for y'all about now!

Gun safety laws on the roll....... And no way for you to stop them!

and a transfer of power to the police state and military sounds pretty "rightie" to me.

I'll bet you just loved the Patriot Act, the Military Commission Act. free speech zones, drones in U.S. skies, etc.
