Just a few, somewhat distant booms and bangs last night but Arthur was definitely unsettled

I could tell by his body language and his little face that the noise bothered him.

Normally he comes and goes, during the night, but last night he spent the entire night snuggled up next to me. I got up at 3 to open the windows for some cool air and as soon as I crawled back into bed, he returned to my side.

Gryff and Madoc weren't really bothered but the sounds were pretty muffled. This is my first 4th of July with them. I think Madoc was born after July 4, last year. I know Gryff doesn't like loud noises.

So I know to be prepared for tonight and tomorrow night. Hopefully the family across the street doesn't go crazy, for hours on end. Don't get me wrong - normally I love fireworks. During a controlled and supervised event. NOT when they are being fired off over my house and yard. The fact that this is legal just infuriates me. And, unfortunately, I can't 'have a word' with these neighbors. They are horrible people.

Flowrr essence blends to help on an emotional level with trauma.

Any health food store, histic grocery, or holostic vet will havs one or both.

Hugs to sweet Arthur.

In fact ALL of the boys are sleeping. Me? I've been outside, in the heat, tackling an out of control trumpet vine. Orange flowers. Go figure.

Fortunately I'm out of yard waste bags so I have to stop working, for the day.

I see a nice, icy cold Gin and Tonic in my not so distant future.

They love trumpet vine flowers!

Glad you are getting out of heat.

Your boys have the right idea: nap.

I'd go crazy if it was near the house. It is an insane spreader. I'm going to be hitting a lot of the new growth with Brush Kill, just to TRY to get it under control.

I would have worked on removing it, right away. It will take over EVERYTHING. I'm constantly mowing down fresh sprouts that are like a mini forest in the back lot and hacking at huge vines growing up the trees.
