Anybody ever used a turf box with a dog?

This is my first time in an apartment with a dog (I've always been in a house or rowhouse before) and we're on the 14th floor, which is making training a problem because I can't expect him to wait for the world's slowest elevator. But, we have a full balcony with walls tall enough to keep him safe. So I was thinking of building or buying a turf box. Has anybody used these with a dog? Got any tips?

I was thinking other pee indoors products didn't look too good, but I just saw this one was suggested to someone on a dog forum, and it looks pretty good.

On the other hand, if I had a little dog and a shower stall. I'd train it to walk in and relieve itself because urine is sterile unless there is a bladder infection, and with a handy spray bottle of bleach and water, or enzymes solution and water, and a rinse from the shower it would be easy to keep clean.
I'm curious....did you find a solution during the last 4 months?
