Too bad I can't get it fresh (nor frozen) where I live.

It's the first thing I order at a sushi place (the second is uni, or sea urchin roe).

Scrumptious! A grated ginger root and soy sauce dip also works. Both are Japanese recipes.

money was very tight, my ex mother-in-law used to take canned mackerel and make patties with it. Tasted a lot like salmon, wasn't bad and quite healthy.
