What's for dinner? Sunday, August 21, 2016

Today's my low-n-slow day. Grampa's chicken gizzard stew. With celery, bell peppers, onions in a light tomato sauce. A baguette for dunkin'.

Tonight was chicken piccata, cherry and pear tomatoes sauteed with shallots, good crusty bread and Plum Cake Cockaigne (yeah, from my mid-70s Joy of Cooking).

I'm the one just getting my taste buds back after chemo. I bought 1/4 lb large cooked shrimp, made a small salad with Kirbys, a radish, and some of that Green Giant "little lettuce". Used some Catalina dressing and topped the salad with the shrimp. It tasted good! I also made my chocolate mousse, and I'd say, it tasted about 85% the way it's supposed to. Getting there!
