What's for Dinner, Thurs., July 7, 2016

I'm sauteeing thinly sliced pork and serving it with applesauce for tonight. I'll prol'ly use sage leaves somewhere in that process.

Tossed green salad with Thousand Island.

I'm going to start posting the thread a little earlier these days, as I'm finding my usual posting time conflicts a bit with my job. I only mention this because we used to get these posts like, "What's for dinner?! I haven't even had breakfast!" So just be aware, this is about me, not about you.

How dare you let work interfere with your posting!

We're having the fish and spinach I didn't make yesterday. Still blazing hot here but we need fish.

Corn on the cob from the farm stand, coleslaw. Peaches (first good ones from farm stand) for dessert.
Been making this chicken recipe for years, so simple and yummy: mix 1 packet Lipton Savory Herb and Garlic soup mix with 3 tbsp. vegetable oil. Turn boneless chicken breast in mixture to coat, marinate a few hours, grill til done. I sometimes use the tenders or thin-sliced boneless breast.

Leftovers and a salad, I guess.

I got so hung-up today while working the "tree" at ancestry.com, I forgot to pull out something from the freezer! I got a lot done, though. Had to call my Pop and older sis for things I couldn't remember.

OK, done doing family research for today - I'm pooped! I'll raise a glass to family I've never met...

I got their honey mustard but don't like it (mine is better). I heated the leftovers up today and used some mango habanero sauce for the chicken strips and it was soooooo yummy. At least it got used. I still need to finish some ribs and potato salad.

I bought fried chicken, a thing that I hardly ever do. Served it with baked seasoned fries, broccoli and a salad.
