and a caprese type salad.

Unfortunately, we have 2 guests and one does not eat sausage and the other does not eat cheese.

So peparing these things is going to be a bit tricky.

I watched Alton Brown over the weekend and he featured this gorgeous, colorful slaw that looked so good.

It's the type of dish that you see at the Whole Foods salad bar and want to buy but either it's not fresh and not worth buying or it's fresh and you want so much it would break the bank at $9.79 a lb., (which is what they have our salad bar up to now).

The color comes from the green cabbage (used Asian for the green) and red pepper. I added purple cabbage. The mint (chiffonade) really makes this dish, as it's a nice contrast with the peanut sauce.

I tried the dressing the way he designated and then I tried some with some Truvia added to it. I think I'll stick with the latter.

This reviewer liked the recipe, too.

Also for tonight, some sliced flank steak from my grilling over the 4th. I'll put a mustard, a gorgonzola sauce, and some roasted peppers and sundried tomatoes on the plate for variety.
