2. Home Run Pizza

Yeah... It's just a frozen pie but they do a decent one. Drop on some peperoni, some Cholula sauce and crushed red pepper... Yummy

16. It was lots of fun. Very small community here and it was a benefit for kids that want

to do theater so they can take a trip to NYC and see some shows and go to some workshops.

Really great time.

He doesn't get it much since I went strict vegetarian, but since I wrecked his truck last week, I am being extra nice to him.

5. Ragu of Italian sweet sausage

Will be served over pasta--haven't decided what kind yet. We will share a salad of greens, aromatics, artichoke hearts and tomatoes and a basket of ciabatta rolls. Off to make the sauce! Happy Sunday!

6. Northern Chinese buns stuffed with BBQ'd pulled pork with hoisin sauce, scallions. Stir fry veggies.

These are wheat buns, baked not steamed. About the size of a tennis ball. I get them at a local Asian market and reheat while I stir fry the veggies. A couple sliced and stuffed with the BBQ pork mix and some scallions make a good plate along with the stir fry.

10. Chicken Cordon Bleu Risotto. YUM

Just made the basic risotto recipe and added cooked chicken and ham near the end, and when I served it, I mixed in torn baby spinach and grated swiss cheese.

12. Simple but great - potato leek soup, and crusty bread!

Amazing how a soup with so few ingredients (salt, pepper, water, milk, butter, potatoes, leeks) can be so easy and so delicious! (we use the recipe from Julia Child's cookbook).

19. What a great idea. I haven't had potato & leek soup in a long time.

It's on the list for next week with a fresh loaf of bread.

24. Problem with my place is that if we invite more than 2 people, we are out of chairs and tables.

So remember to bring a chair and a TV tray.

25. No problem.

Next time I'll take my folding chair and a TV tray. That meal looked like it was worth it.

22. The whole famdamily showed up for lunch yesterday--11 people at my table.

We had grilled chicken, hotdogs for the kids, mac & cheese, mashed potatoes, zuchinni with peppers & onions, lima beans, fruit, and italian bread. It was a lot of fun.
