What's for Dinner ~ Thursday Nov 1st

Last edited Thu Nov 1, 2012, 04:54 PM - Edit history (1)

I'm not sure!
Bill is heading to the store in a few minutes, and I want something different for dinner, just not sure what.

You?

Editing to say we decided on fajitas!
I still want something different for dinner....maybe tomorrow I'll think of something!

I started marinating the beef yesterday afternoon. Then aded onions, balsamic vinegar, and red wine and baked it for 3 hours this morning. Adding anchovies, mushrooms, and capers and will cook it for another couple hours. Serving it with mashed potatoes and salad with a roquefort dressing. The whole house smells wonderful!

My grocery delivery was delayed today and I didn't have enough time to make the chicken casserole I had planned. Tomorrow is another day.

We can be pizza snobs, since we really love our own homemade pizzas, but frozen can be really handy!

It has cabbage, spinach, fresh basil, celery, mushrooms, onion, garlic, parsley, and out of the pantry, some garbanzo beans and chicken stock. I still have some left, and am going to add some sour cream and grated cheese for supper. It's pretty good, needs a carbohydrate like rice, potato, or pasta.

But it made me think about using up slightly limp vegetables in different ways.

For tonight, the yummy rotisserie chicken that I snatched as soon as they put them out this morning and a beautiful salad. We haven't had fresh produce for days.

Our local grocer makes a good lemon rotisserie chicken. We don't get it often, but it's yummy.

Still raining....my sinuses are killing me. It's been raining all week . Well, it may snow tonight, so that would be a nice change.

Have you ever tried acupressure? It works well for me with headaches.

Hope you feel better soon!

I suffered from monthly migraines until I went through menopause....I tried all kinds of things, biofeedback, different meds and found Imitrex injections were the miracle. The sinus pain is annoying, but less so. I feel better today and it is snowing now .
