What are some favorites? I imagine the place will be a mad house.....but I've waited so long for this...I am willing to brave the crowds on opening day.

(22,702 posts)Their snack food section is full of great stuff. Love their ciabatta rolls.I always have some in the freezer. They're nice and crispy when you pop them in the oven for a bit. Good selection of unusual cheeses. Excellent prosciutto (Try the one from Germany). I could go on and on forever. Great selection of inexpensive wines (except for 3 buck upchuck, which I detest).

(29,098 posts)If they have it get it while you can. Also they have a goat cheese made with honey that is wonderful.
My only complaint about Trader Joes is that they get you loving a particular product then it disappears...Never to be seen again. We are still mourning the loss of the spinach/onion foccaccia. Also load up on seasonal items. They will be gone soon. The peppermint green tea is a staple in my house and I buy a dozen boxes every Christmas to last the year. They make great stocking stuffers!
I like the 2 buck chuck pinot gris and the cabernet. The merlot not so much. It's good enough for a daily glass and perfectly fine for cooking.

I've had the goat cheese - it's killer.

(106,886 posts)A wide array of cheeses.
Some great sliced meats. Breads.
Don't usually buy veggies there because we have a strong farmers' market network in my neck of CA.
Can be pricey, overall, but if you shop well it's a great source of some specialties unavailable in most stores for at home meals.

(146,218 posts)Premade foods - lasagna, fresh pastas, guacomoles, salsa, hummus.
Cold cuts, juices.
Dairy - great yogurts (vanana is one of my favorites), really good cream.
Cookies, crackers, candies.
Nuts and dried fruits of all kinds.
Wine and liquor.
I am not a big fan of their produce or meat, though.
Have a great time and don't forget to pick up your copy of the Fearless Flyer!

(37,549 posts)sodas, the cheeses---all excellent quality.
My child LOVES the hash browns, the biscuits, and the soy sausage. Also the mac&cheese shells, and the mini ravioli.
