1971 - Documentary on Netflix

In 1971 a group of anti-war activists noticed how their non-violent protests kept getting more violent. The activists were convinced the movement was being infiltrated by the FBI and that they were using agent provocateurs to disrupt protests . The activists formed the Citizens Commission to Investigate the FBI, broke into a small FBI office in Media, Pennsylvania, took every file and sent copies of the files to Ben Bradlee of the Washington Post and a couple congressmen (George McGovern was one of them). This led to the Church committee and the first congressional investigation of the intelligence community. The activists had basically uncovered COINTELPRO. Never caught ,these activists- college professors, parents etc- publicly reveal themselves for the first time in this documentary and tell their story. Highly recommend!

I watched it last night. Very good. And smart of those involved to always wear gloves, especially the one who masqueraded as a college reporter.
