A few unique series to share with you.

I have to start with Orville. It's on Season 3 and I'm only a few episodes in but, boy, it's really following in the footsteps of the original Star Trek that used social issues as the theme of many of its show. Season 3 is going to places that would probably get the production shut down if it were filmed in Florida. Which is what makes it a must see before De Santis passes a bill to stop its airing on Hulu.

Wellington Paranormal. Others probably know of its existence, but I just got wind of it now that the Fourth Season is out and HBOMax is promoting it. Fun New Zealand comedy series that pokes fun of the paranormal genre. Officers O'Leary and Minogue are sort of the ghost-busters which manage to fumble their way through the 22 minute cases, which also have a camerman filming them as they go about through their misadventures.

The Endlings. Cute two season series about foster children who live on a ranch and how their already complicated lives become more so after an alien crash-lands in their barn. Great show to teach the concept of extinction to small children, since the year is 2041 and the alien's job is to collect the last species of its kind all throughout the universe. On Hulu.

Blackbird: Eerie and creepy. I can only handle an episode a week. Suspected serial killer and necrophiliac is placed in jail, but they don't have enough evidence to keep him there for life. For one thing, he's a lot more clever than he looks. Here, appearances are deceiving. The cops figure they can plant another inmate in the next cell in the hopes that he will befriend him and acquire information. Only, they select a prison inmate who has baggage of his own so the race is on to see if he succeeds and wins an early release before he is found out and dealt with. This can be seen on AppleTv

Only Murders in the Building. Took me a while to get into it, but it's in Season 2 and I guess I'm hooked. This answers the question, how many unlikeable and/or quirky well-to-do people can you cram into one high rise building? And how long can they go before one of them murders someone? And the best part, it's based on an actual apartment building in the Bronx.

We're near the end of Star Trek Discovery, then it's on to Season 2 for this gem.

And you can watch it for free, with commercials, at CWTV.com, if you don't have HBO Max.

They are a quick, and different for every episode. For example, "Vampires demand bloodbank joins Uber Eats."
