Take Action on Campus for Women's Herstory Month
During March organize an event on your campus to raise awareness about women's fight for equality throughout herstory, and the future of the feminist movement. Use the resources you have available, such as women professors, local NOW leaders, or other local women who make positive change in your community as speakers, experts on an issue, or stories. Celebrate women's wins and discuss what still needs to be done!
*GIVE THEM SNAPS*
This March, give props to women who don't always get attention for the community work they do. Celebrate a different woman each day by passing out information, tabling, or placing an announcement on your school's calendar recognizing the day.
*WRITE ABOUT GREAT WOMEN*
Write an article for your school's paper about the importance of women's herstory month and highlight young women's contributions to society. Discuss some of the current challenges to women's rights. Suggest that your school paper feature a different woman of achievement from your community or from herstory each day of the month.
*MAKE THEM FAMOUS*
Have each school/department in your school create a poster honoring a woman from their field. Display them for the month at your student center.
