And Gov. Christie vetoed our civil right.

Gov. Chris Christie has followed through on his promise to reject a bill allowing same-sex marriage in New Jersey by quickly vetoing the measure Friday and renewing his call for a ballot question to decide the issue.

The veto came a day after the state Assembly passed the bill. The state Senate had passed it on Monday. Christie, a Republican who opposes same-sex marriage, had vowed "very swift action" once the measure reached his desk.

And I say that as a lifelong native of NJ. I can't figure out what so many of my fellow Jerseyites see in that miserable sack of shit.

I've worked for 3 years on this legislation and while this week has been an emotional roller coaster, no matter how much your prepare for the letdown it always hurts.

Too bad the bill wasn't on the fourth floor, perhaps a bout with angina would have slowed his poison pen.
