(Trigger Warning) Boyfriend Social Experiment In Ukraine Ends In Pepper Spray, Violent Attack

You saw the social experiment presented by Russian YouTube channel CheboRussia, in which a gay couple walked down the streets of Russia and were subject to verbal abuse.

Well they've decided to replicate the experiment in the Ukraine and the results are terrifying. You witness the gay couple in this experiment be pepper sprayed and assaulted before the attack is thwarted by those producing the segment.

1. They decided to end the exp. in Russia prematurely because they were afraid of being attacked.

If they had gone on for a few more hours, the guy threatening to beat them up would have beaten them up.

And we don't get anti-gay torture-vids out of Ukraine...

I don't know if you remember the dueling banjos of accusations of anti-Semitism between Ukraine and Russia, but I am starting to see a similar pattern now with gays. Each pointing the finger at the other, neither realizing they are both disgusting bigoted examples of hate, and the victims are largely ignored, or even accused of "faking it."

7. Exactly, the difference is that Russia used anti-semitism in Ukraine as justification for invasion

8. Yup and when it comes to GLBT issues they are doing a mighty about-face!

As bad as other countries are, I am more personally taken aback by Russia because of its almost overnight backslide on GLBT issues and the extent to which is taking. Russia has never been a "gay haven" but it also wasn't a shithole when it came to gay people. Changes that drastic and that harsh are usually indicators of something wicked this way comes.
