(Ohio) Purcell Marian staffer under fire for voicing opinions on gay marriage

About to be fired as assistant principal at Purcell Marian High School, Mike Moroski says he doesn’t regret voicing his support of gay marriage on his blog.

The Archdiocese of Cincinnati placed Moroski on administrative leave Feb. 4 and plans to fire him, Moroski said. He says he has hired a lawyer.

Moroski refused to take down his statements on the blog.

“I believe in Catholicism,” Moroski said in an interview. “But my conscience will not permit me to recant my statement.

But does the bible not also preach love and equality? If not, then the bible preaches a qualified love, restricted only to heterosexual couples. Besides that, the bible is an ancient book, based on ancient circumstances. Circumstances that promotes male-dominance, and female inferiority sentiments...

In such a society, more offspring are desirable. Yes, every new child is another mouth to feed, but that mouth comes with two arms and two legs to bring in the harvest. "Be fruitful and multiply" is the command to engage in heterosexual acts that produce future farm hands.

As a corollary to that, any expression of sexuality that does not potentially lead to procreation is a distraction of the prime directive of "be fruitful and multiply", and therefore must be discouraged at all costs. That's why religion has had conflict with sexual orientations that are not heterosexual and monogamous (at least for the little people).
