Barack Obama rejects Benjamin Netanyahu’s call for Iran to recognize Israel

President Barack Obama is rejecting Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s call for Iran to recognize the state of Israel as part of a final nuclear deal.

“The notion that we would condition Iran not getting nuclear weapons in a verifiable deal on Iran recognizing Israel is really akin to saying that we won’t sign a deal unless the nature of the Iranian regime completely transforms. And that is, I think, a fundamental misjudgment,” Obama said in an interview with NPR on Monday.

On Friday, Netanyahu, a vocal critic of the Iranian nuclear talks, said that a nuclear deal with Iran must include “unambiguous Iranian recognition of Israel’s right to exist.” The Obama administration announced that the U.S., Iran and other world powers had reached a preliminary ‘framework’ agreement on Thursday.

This guy is making demands from the sidelines....he's not even involved in the talks.

There's a reason why China, Russia, Germany, France and the UK are ignoring this turd.

Bibi is more than welcome to reach out to the Iranians himself pursue his own deal with Iran and stop meddling in the affairs of the United States.

Perhaps Iran might demand that Israel recognize Palestine and get out of the West Bank and Gaza.

"What are the borders within which Iran should recognize Israel?"

Now, I suppose that Iran could simply reinstate its prior recognition (Iran was the second nation after the Us to recognize Israel in 1948) ...but that wouldn't make Israel very happy, given the borders that recognition noted.

So when you conclude that this is the desire of Bibi, then anything he says is to be ignored.

We will get this peace in spite of that asshole.

And we need to remember that Iran has their version of Bibi, old hard liners who dont want peace either.

Iran does not talk to Israel.

Iran does not even let their athletes compete against Israeli athletes in friendly international competitions.

Iran would talk to them.

Now Israel is screaming from the sidelines and so many countries are ignoring Netanyahu's tantrums.

You reap what you sow, I suppose.
