Lapid: Netanyahu represented 'pushy' Israelis in Paris

http://www.ynetnews.com/articles/0,7340,L-4614347,00.html

Yesh Atid chairman Yair Lapid joined the criticism that was flooding towards the Netanyahu camp after his visit in Paris and said on Monday that while it was good that Israel had representation in Paris, Netanyahu represented the "impolite" and "pushy" Israeli.

"The prime minister's behavior in Paris shows the world the impolite Israeli, the pushy Israeli, and it is unfortunate," said Lapid at a conference in Tel Aviv on Monday.

Lapid's comments came after a video posted on Facebook, the news footage mockingly set to the Looney Tunes cartoon music, showed Netanyahu maneuvering his way to the front of the rally with the help of several bodyguards, allowing him to be photographed arm-in-arm with other leaders, including French President Francois Hollande and German Chancellor Angela Merkel.
---
Perhaps most awkward was his invitation to French Jews - alarmed by the Paris attacks and the killing of four people at a kosher supermarket - to migrate to Israel if they wanted, leaving French Prime Minister Manuel Valls scrambling to reassure the community it was safe and an integral part of France.

was truly blindingly idiotic.

Almost as much as pushing to the front of a fake photo-op with some of the worst usurpers of freedom in the world to express support for freedom of speech, including with, among many other usurpers, one nation that has just finished flogging a blogger.

Anyine still think Obama made a mistake by not going?

I believe that the world should have let France mourn its fallen in its own way. If that meant inviting world leaders then that is their say.

But if world leaders were just there for a photo op then perhaps they should have stayed home.

That's just me.

by the French government. And after his disastrous Palestinian adventure this summer and the IDF killing 7 journalists, he should have stayed home.

As for Israel , it was essential they sent high level representatives to the country where all 4 Jewish slaughtered victims would be buried.

All the other noise about the Israeli reps are figments of the imagination of Mondoweiss and 6 people on this site who wish to change the chanell.

Fact : Jews were slaughtered because they were Jews.

France is responding.

The PM of Israel being not welcome is sheer nonsense , not on France's radar and important only to the Mondoweiss crowd and of course politicians in Israel in the midst of an election campaign.
