How many kids could have received a free college education for that money?
How many infrastructure and public works projects might have been built, or cutting edge science research grants funded? How many impoverished people would that money fed, housed and retrained?

Like a metastatic cancer, this national insanity for more war is killing us from the inside out. Ask the Roman Empire or the USSR how that worked for them.
