Related: About this forumWe extract so much oil in the US that they now want to sell crude on the global market.
I plan to tell them, "No!".
Hi XXXXXXX,
The U.S has moved from oil scarcity to abundance. Thats why its time to allow American oil producers to sell crude oil to our global trading partners.
Three reasons to care:
1. Exploration and production will stimulate our economy.
2. Lifting the ban on crude oil exports would protect and create U.S. jobs.
3. Removing the ban will strengthen U.S. geopolitical standing around the world.

(2,506 posts)1. But but oil production in U.S. was supposed to drive down prices
If they can export it, then back to world prices and U.S. Consumers would not benefit. However producers would of course

Shale oil outside of the fairways of these "big frack" plays is not economical.

Once the public at large figures this out, capital is reallocated, there won't be enough oil sitting around to export.

The U.S. is still importing 7.3 million barrels a day.
