- Strips local towns & cities of zoning power and will allow gassers to drill anywhere they want
- "Severance" fees are inadequate to cover cost for clean-up, long term clean-up costs are the responsibility of localities
- Well Cap of abandoned wells: bonds are inadequate, costing less than capping which encourages gassers to just walk away
- DEP oversight diminished even more than current authority (which is precious little)
This is bad for Pennsylvania, bad for towns, bad for people - but GREAT FOR GASSERS
Protect Pennsylvania from Marcellus Shale gas drilling

With all of the environmental damage caused by Marcellus Shale gas drilling, its incredible that our state legislators are poised to force more drilling on the states residents with less environmental safeguards. Our politicians in Harrisburg should be standing up for Pennsylvanians, not the gas drilling industry and their well-heeled lobbyists in the Capitol.
Email your state senator today and tell them to oppose proposals that weaken our environmental protectionsand give away the farm to gas drillers.

Now it's coming to our immediate neighborhood, and no one has any answers for our many questions. We're just supposed to let the Gas companies do what they want and TRUST them to take care of us.
That's a fairytale and a nightmare all in one!
