Can someone please tell me what the hell Exxon Oil
would like to "solve" with respect to education? I could understand if Exxon wanted to try and solve global warming, pollution, or even oil spills, but their annoying commercial makes it seem that our educational system needs to be rescued. The thing about education that is not working is corporations grabbing up education dollars through testing companies and corporate charter schools. Let's fix that!

No child has ever learned how to spell by circling words in a disposable workbook and they certainly don't need an expensive textbook either.

3. In a more rational time and place, we'd be talking about nationalizing *THEM*.

Instead... their power is such that they make the debate about whether or not to privatize the shrinking US public sector.

I agree. Every time i hear that patronizing voice implying teachers are the problem makes my skin crawl. They need to stick to fixing the damage they have caused to our country and stay out of education; a field they know nothing about. Clearly there is money involved they want.
