SEIU: California Hospital Contracts for 59,000 Workers Are "Groundbreaking"

Within the past 60 days 59,000 SEIU-UHW health care workers across California settled new labor contracts at major hospital chains. SEIU says they are groundbreaking contracts. The latest was at Dignity Health where SEIU says workers maintained full benefits, won raises and agreed to unique provisions that help promote better health among Dignity workers. SEIU launched a “Let’s get Healthy California initiative earlier this year in an effort to both improve health and lower health care costs.
