1. Surely hope Dilma Rousseff knows how many people across the globe admire, respect, and love her.

I hope as many people realize the people trying to destroy her now are from the same group as the military dictatorship which tried to destroy her years ago, by torture, imprisonment, and persecution.

Hope like crazy good will prevail, and these people will fail.

2. I was watching a live feed of the proceedings a little earlier. She's a scholar and a grande dame.

My parents are from Argentina, and being fluent in Spanish I understand Portuguese fairly well. Watching her answer the Senator's questions (some of them, little more than chicanery), was like sitting in front of a very good professor at an Econ or Poli Sci 201 class.

Brazil was fortunate to have her during these difficult times. Não vai ter golpe.
