Rising Worry for US Military Bases in Argentina
lunes, 11 de julio de 2016

11 de julio de 2016, 17:33Buenos Aires, Jul 11 (Prensa Latina) When UNASUR suggests wiping out US military bases from Latin America, on the contrary, with the support of Mauricio Macris management veiled plans advance to settle two facilities.

One would be set up in Ushuaia, in the southern region of Argentina that comprises the link of the two oceans, as well as large natural resources, and another in Misiones, in the so-called triple border, one of the largest basins in the world, said specialist Elsa Bruzzone.

Bruzzone, historian and analyst from the Center of military for the Democracy (Cemida), reiterated in a press conference organized by the Front of Advertisers for the Expression of the Peoples (Frente EP), that a delegation from the ministry of Defense traveled to the United States to agree projects on military cooperation.

The most controversial issue of all comprises the settlement of military bases that not only represent an affront to the sovereignty but a serious threat for losing control on the natural resources of the country and strategic areas.
