Gowdy Cancelled All Planned Hearings Other Than Hillary Clinton’s After NYT Email Story

Before the New York Times broke its story on March 2 about Hillary’s Clinton’s emails, Gowdy had sent to Committee Members an investigative plan that set out monthly hearings with all the different agencies involved in preparing for and responding to the attacks in Benghazi, including the State Department, the Defense Department, and the Intelligence Community.

After the New York Times’ email story broke on March 2, however, Gowdy completely abandoned this plan and began focusing almost exclusively on Hillary Clinton.

Since then, Gowdy has not held any of the hearings on his schedule, and his upcoming hearing with Hillary Clinton is the only hearing now scheduled.

For a long time now, we have been hearing how important it is to be the majority party in Congress, because it determines what Congress spends its time investigating - and who.

When the Republicans took the majority, we knew then Hillary would be targeted (again).

Yes, it's bullshit.

Just a reminder all elections really do matter. Not just the president. Not once every 4 years (although that's better than nothing, of course).



We just had a District City Councilman runoff in my town Tuesday. An incumbent has lost by probably less than 20 votes. The ex-Councilman pointed out it didn't really bother him that he lost. It was the turnout that disappointed him. 13% of registered voters in his district voted.

Less than 7% of voters chose the winner.

Elections really do matter. We got to vote!
