Hillary Clinton Drops A Bomb On The Kochs By Vowing To Take Away Big Oil’s Taxpayer Subsidies

Hillary Clinton vowed to take away big oil’s subsidies and use the money for clean energy while campaigning in Iowa.

During a speech in Des Moines, Iowa, Clinton laid out her vision for combating climate change by encouraging clean energy technology.

In the process, she dropped a bomb on the Koch brothers:

We’ll launch a Clean Energy Challenge that supports and partners with states, cities, and rural communities that are ready to lead on clean energy.

We’ll stop the giveaways to big oil companies and extend, instead, tax incentives for clean energy, while making them more cost-effective for both taxpayers and producers.

We’ll support—and improve—the Renewable Fuel Standard that has been such a success for Iowa and much of rural America."

The Koch brothers are fossil fuel barons who have spent almost $80 million funding climate change deniers.
What Hillary Clinton is proposing is that the federal government take the $4.8 billion in subsidies that are currently given to big oil and create clean energy tax incentives.
Clinton’s proposal is exactly what the Koch Brothers fear the most.

Fossil fuel industries are extremely profitable. They don’t need federal subsidies. Federal subsidies should be used to develop clean energy sources for the future. Republicans and their big oil masters frame the energy issue as an either/or choice between fossil fuels and clean alternatives.
Hillary Clinton is offering a forward-thinking energy future that will be better for the planet and consumers.

Progress is inevitable, and not even the vast Koch wealth can hold off America’s clean energy future forever.

4. No they certainly do not. I agree with Sec Clinton, that the subsidies can be put to better use.

The subsidies pay for their lobbiests, provide for CEO bonus's and hide in a tax safe off shore acct.
The Federal subsidies they receive are my taxes, your taxes, and this ^ is not what I work my A off for every day of the year.

They keep repeating the same old lines with nothing more, because they know that they cannot keep pace with this bright worldly woman, with her sensible policies.
All they have is exactly what the RW has. Repeated hit pieces & criticism that have long pass the "sell by" date since every one if their lies have long ago been debunked.
They are all left with nothing but old stale lines, scraped off the newsroom floor & pieced together in some hope of creating scandal.
News for them all, Hillary Clinton is light years ahead of any guy in the race. In intellect, experience life work, belief & vision for this America & what happens beyond its borders.
I so admire how Team Hillary is managing her campaign, keeping her cards close to her vest & making the wee minds who are destined to end this election year walking away with their tail between their legs, & are left with now, to only guess what she is up to in her campaign.
She is smart, savvy, & genuine.



When their own candidate is so weak that they resort to the typical RW campaign of attacks with lies, old debunked non-news, & spend hours a day offering up in-your-face, selected, out-of-context hits against Sec Clinton, we just look the other way towards Nov 2016 & know damned well that our girl, Hillary Clinton will ndeed be our First Woman President, the wisest & very best to lead the Nation out of the destructive policies of an obsolete bunch of old fools, and back to a future forward, functiong America that includes the best of life for everyone.
