BIOS battery
Mine is rated at 3V. It tests at 2.94V. Would that affect boot up? I'm having issues as described in the other post.

They are only good for about 5 years or so.

would cause the clock on your PC to forget the time and might also cause your BIOS to
forget its settings (if you don't have BIOS settings stored in nonvolatile memory) so you'd
have to go in and set things manually each time you reboot.
