How do I get through Gmails labryinth to contact their techs for support?

Everything is based on their established help forum but if your question cannot be found in their labyrinth, it does not automatically give you an easy way to ask a novel question. Their form sheets require message-ids to connect to email problems, but I have a question to ask before I set up an account.

I have tried for over a year to get answers from Google and Firefox about why I can not log in to my gmail on Firefox. I have to use IE to read my gmail and log in to You Tube.

A tech who came in to work on a system gave it to me when he couldn't find the right gmail configs and I actually spoke to one of their gmail gurus. They are extremely helpful if you can find one.

I've been using Gmail since it was in highly valued beta (seriously, people were literally buying invites), and I'm not an expert, but I know a few things. I'm sure others here do also.
