Can we remove Milwaukee Sheriff David Clarke from office?

His recent comments about "Pitchforks and Torches" are completely outrageous ,incendiary, irresponsible and borderline criminal. He refuses to stay in Milwaukee and actually do his job. The county jail is being managed in a grotesquely incompetent manner, resulting in inmate deaths. He continually engages in race-baiting and demeans the entire African American community. I believe he should be removed from office. It seems that the only way to do this between elections is a recall election. Is anyone working on this?

This is the key passage:

"An elected official serving in Congress, statewide office, judicial office, or county office may be recalled for any reason. However, a local elected official may only be recalled for a reason related to his or her official responsibilities."

Seems to me the first sentence applies, as Sheriff is an elected county office. Unfortunately I'm not from Wisconsin so can't help with the effort, but as a fellow US Citizen would applaud this hate-monger's removal from office.
