Washington

A friend was in Penney's in the little town of Sequim and a man came in with a holster and gun on his hip. He also had a little girl with him. Is this legal in Washington?

(68,644 posts)If I recall correctly.
In Angels Camp or Sonora or Red Bluff people would strap on a six shooter or 1911, but they don't dare go into LA or SF like that.
These days, for California, I think it's not allowed anywhere.
Though I'm not sure.

(4,205 posts)Where can you carry in Washington ?Washington State follows British legal tradition, which states that anything that is not proscribed as unlawful is lawful. So the real question is; where can you NOT carry in Washington ? There are four main state statutes that one must be cognizant of: RCW 9.41.050 (Carrying Firearms), RCW 9.41.280 (Carry on School Grounds),RCW 9.41.300 (Weapons Prohibited in Certain Places), and RCW 70.108.150 (Firearms in Outdoor Music Festivals).

(6,640 posts)local Goodwill in King county. It's put me off going. But I also would like to confront one of these idiots and insist that he either shoot me or keep the gun at home. I was used to seeing MPs with guns on base but civilians doing it just make me see red.
