Occupy Billboards in Tulsa!

Occupy Tulsa announces a fundraising campaign to turn local billboards into protest signs! The signs will be simple, but powerful, and put our message of social and economic justice for commuters to see throughout the city day in, day out.

Lamar Advertising owns the billboards in the area. A 4-week ad campaign for 7 “Poster” size ( 10’5 X 22’ ) billboards costs about $4,725. The Billboards would be located throughout the city: http://maps.lamar.com/GRPMapPrint.aspx?GRPMapID

The average DEC (Daily Effective Circulation – ie people looking at the sign) is 14,546 for each panel! Multiply that by 7, and that is 101,822 people seeing the message every day!
This would provide maximum coverage for our message to reach the 99%!

We are crowdsource funding on IndieGoGo to raise money for the ad campaign. This type of tool has worked successfully for OWS to create a TV ad, and we hope to do the same here with the billboards.
