I just saw that ad on the internet and thought it was like illegal or something since it seems like a pretty low wage. I'm not actually hiring a dishwasher. Please don't apply for that job. Unless maybe if you are really desperate.

I could actually cover my living expenses with that wage working a 40 hour week. I don't buy much, cook my own food, fix pretty much anything that's broke but I'm one of the lucky ones. The house is bought and paid for. Property taxes are less than $2K a year. The biggest bills are cable/internet, sewage, and insurance.
I'm doing my best to stretch my funds until I can officially retire but I'd probably take a job like that if it was close to home and I could listen to my progressive radio shows while I worked.
I'd rather use my skills and make more but people don't really fix stuff anymore.
