congressional primary

I am struggling with which to vote for in the Senate race. Does Hector stand a better chance because he's Hispanic? Should that matter to me...it does, when I consider the importance of a Democratic Senator, but it feels creepy.
Some say Heinrich, with his experience as a US Rep makes him to more viable candidate.
Heinrich did help with a local man's request for help for Bahrainian activists and actually saved some lives.
Which one would be most willing to fight against the War on Drugs, esp cannabis? That's my current most important issue?
As you can see, I struggle.
