A local United States Olympic Committee member said she wants to hear definitively from Gov. Charlie Baker whether he supports a Boston Olympics during a USOC conference call today that could determine the fate of the beleaguered bid.

Baker continues to insist he’ll wait until the Brattle Group’s commissioned report is completed next month before committing his support.

“Obviously we need to know his support for the bid and we need to know Mayor (Martin J.) Walsh’s support for the bid,” said Angela Ruggiero, a Cambridge resident and member of the USOC and International Olympic Committee, who has appeared before the Boston City Council along with Boston 2024 to outline USOC priorities. “Government support is obviously important in any bid.”

Ruggiero’s remarks echo those of USOC member Anita DeFrantz, who told the Herald Saturday, “I need to know.” The Herald reported yesterday that Boston’s bid could face a USOC vote today. USOC spokesman Patrick Sandusky would only say “there is a Boston 2024 bid update as part of the meeting agenda.”
