question about California's place in the primary schedule

Hello all. I've read a lot of complaints about CA being so late in the primary schedule. It is the largest state, by population. Has anyone mounted a campaign to get the CA primary moved up to January or at least February ?

Thanks in advance, as always.

Steve

Lawmakers figured it cost the state about $100 million extra, so they went back to June.

Personally I think it'd be worth it for us to have an actual say in who the nominee is.

A March consolidated primary would be great. Really irritating to essentially disenfranchise the millions of voters in California.

This makes no sense to me and it sounds like our State House just wants us to vote late in the cycle when it's all over.
