how many DUers are in Issa's district, and I understand online petitions can only do so much. But it seems logical that if Jerry, while out campaigning can say something on the order of, "I have 10,000 signatures from people who want to see a debate. Why is Rep. Issa refusing?", that might go a long way. If 200 people on this site flip this thing around, he might get some impressive numbers.

and Issa is soooo easily defeatable.

Issa might be the richest, slimiest US Congressman, but a simple campaign of freeway anti-Issa banners at rush hour slow points along the 15, 78, and San Diego freeways could really penetrate Issa's base. If he won't debate, he certainly deserves to be held publicly accountable for his disgraceful voting record this way. And the potential for mocking Issa is infinitely rich.

These banners could advertise/mock Issa's relentless War on Women, War on the Post office, War on Soc Sec, War on Medicare, War on the Middle Class. War on Vets and First Responders,Pro Pollution, Pro Koch Bros, Pro Ignorance, Pro his own enrichment (Med bldg in Vista) etc...few of these positions are favored by the majority of his constituents.

Issa's district is a heavily freewayed district. Through redistricting, it is also now a district that voted nearly equally McCain -Obama
in 2010. A concerted campaign to inform his constituents of Issa's true voting record coupled with the increase in Democrats in his district could bring down Issa.

Nobody likes the guy anyway. He's a right wing clown who's own voting record is his greatest enemy. Few here know his
Democratic opponent, but Jerry can win by starting with an educational banner campaign of something like "Anyone But Issa."
